LIB reader shares story of how he was robbed on Trans-amadi Rd after slowing down for someone he thought was drunk

A LIB reader saw someone on the road, thought he was drunk, and decided to slow down not knowing it was all a set up to be robbed. What he wrote below...

"I am reporting this incident which happened yesterday morning to me on my way to work today by 5.35am along Trans-Amadi Oginigba road, just before schlumberger gate. While I was driving out of slaughter bridge, I saw a guy battling with balance at the middle of the road like a drunk or mad man. So I decided to brake hoping he would get off the road so I could proceed with my journey to the office.

            

Suddenly, i saw two Flashlights pointing at my vehicle, one from the front windshield which apparently distorted my vision and the other by the right passenger side of my vehicle with his own flashlight too. I was confused because most times the police usually set up a check point not too far from there, so i felt they came around since i spent sometime waiting for the disguised rubber that claimed to be a mad/drunk man to leave the road. I saw a gun nozzle with the guy in front so i didn't move a pulse. all i can remember was the other guy i believe used an iron bar to strike my side windshield at the right passenger side(owners side) of my car and immediately made away with my Laptop bag which housed a lot of my official and personal belongings.

I lost my Hard Drive, flash drives, official Identity cards, ATM cards, 2 Cheque Books, some amount of money, my wallet, some certificates, my note pad, my phone chargers, sim packs and whole lot of stuffs i can't even remember until the need arise for me to use them. Above all i thank God for life and protection, but i am so confused on my Hard drives because i have got so many valuables in there. Please help the people of Port Harcourt know the new tricks from Armed Rubbers in PHC.
